been getting 60 mpg commuting to work this week.

I guess the cold weather has made me ride slower

maybe cold air/oxygen density helped:nenau

do you think the enginee Temp will affect?? My engine temp rarley goes above 13 degrees celcius , and I normally on get 48-49mpg

If thats from the OBC, isnt the figure shown the air temperature?

Plus I would have thought that 13 degrees celcius would be a little cool even for our sticky out, air cooled 1930's cyclinders :)

Mine started saying 60mpg right after the dealer update/download.

Pinch of salt now added with every tankful.

Fuel gauge is at least now usable :thumb2

Mines a 1200RT but I regularly get 54 to 56 mpg (well, cording’ to the readout that is)

Regularly see low to mid 50mpg with me riding in normal mode ( like a twot then ! )
Proly be able to do very high 50's and maybe a 60mpg if I took care...

I never go by the OBC, merely what I put in and the miles covered

sorry, havn't got an on board computer.

13.5 litres of fuel - 180 miles

(not a one off - check every tank:mac)

have had 45 going through Spain but generally 50-53.

stupid thing is, I recon with an 1150GS style 'E' gear top it would be 5-10 mpg better.

its my one dissapointment with this bike (best on 1150GS/1150GSA with high gearbox was 67mpg)

funny that am still on original discs at 60,000 as well.

you will say I ride like tart - I may say I dont slow down for corners:augie

rode up to Birmingham earlier this year and worked out I was doing about 55 mpg on the way up...

Dropped a bit on the way back down a bit :augie

i think

we will all be getting 70 plus mpg if these new speeding fines are implimented. :(

My 08 GSA at best returns 48mpg according to the OBC. Never seen 50plus and I don't think I ride it that hard:nenau:nenau
Does have Remus full system and K+N but still.

I've had to ride like a snail since living in a police state called Western Australia, the traffic cops here are like fascists (mostly cops are ex-pat Brits anyway) and no, you don't get anywhere near 70mpg.
