600mile service cost...

Mine FD oil was changed on the first service at 600 miles, so I think it must be on the schedule.

Not sure if it's the dealer that decides or not as my 2 1200s were not done at Clarke's, but my 1250 was at Cotswold.

It’s not, I’ve checked, the first mention of it is 12k, the 600 service just shows engine oil and filter.
I’ll do it myself before 1k as I’ve got the expensive BMW stuff that I part used for my 1250.
It’s good that some dealers do it but it should really be across the board. Maybe the dealers that are doing it though simply charge extra, my service price was £217.

I bought the 3 year 18k service plan so will cover the 600, 6000, 12000, and the 18000. So no advantage to them to charge extra, I am pleased they did it though

Sorry , just got this , just finished a 400 miler in Wales , trouble free , perfect . The bike just gets better and better .
Okay , I bought the Beta , but God I’m having fun . And it was more like 24 K I’ll have you know . Better than the 25K parts bin special PP V4s oh and the 2 before that and then the 23 plate 1250 ( I broke that one ) Life is short , take a risk or comment … it’s a choice I take as I do a breath of freah air . But DO NOT mention rear brake pads ffs

With a good bit of negotiating at the point of sale, first service has been included....... I suppose it depends on your dealer / customer relationship though...aways prefer face to face and no internet sales..........

Engine oil, filter and final drive & software upgrade done, brake pads were good also.

It may be the placebo effect or I'm just getting used to it but the engine tone and the annoying whineing noise seems to be a lot less noticeable do they use thicker/thinner oil at the 1st service ?
