Silly question, but is there a gear position indicator on the 650 twin (2010)..

Geraldine just purchased one and she can't recall noticing one when she was on the test ride.

Cheers:thumb2

Only if it has the optional computer.

Hmmm, so if there's no computer what else will be missing from the cock pit display??

....and another question..........

Has anyone fitted a centre stand to a factory lowered 650??

Cheers

Tire pressure monitors for starters.
Fuel consumption calculator
Chronometer
Ambient temperature guage
All the stuff you never had on your old bikes. I find the tire pressure monitors save me having to mess around with a tire guage because I am getting older and lazy.

I think the tyre pressure monitors must be an extra cost factory fit as my 08 model has all the other computer stuff but not this. :nenau

Andy.

Maybe it came with the ABS and heated handgrips package.
Mine has the works. I laughed about the heated handgrips here in the tropics, until the first time I went over a mountain pass below zero and actually used them.
How did we ever live without all this stuff in the old days? LOL!

We froze and got soaked :aidan My riding jacket was an ex RAF flying jacket which although fairly warm soaked up water like a sponge.:comfort

I have now become one of those old guys that remembers how things were.
Good thing I actually listened to them and learned something, unlike those kids today. LOL! Hang on, I was one of those kids once, too.
It all gets a little confusing the older you get.

My 08 has full computer grips mainstand etc but no tyre pressure monitor, didnt it come in , in 2009? With the little dinky indicators as an extra way of parting you from the folding!

When you are have the primary odometer on the screen, press the bottom button and you toggle between odometer or tire pressure monitor on the 2009 that I have.

Tyre pressure monitor is an option. It can be fitted to bikes with or without the computer.

The computer gives you a digital fuel gauge, mpg, range, average speed, temperature (with a low temperature warning), and gear indicator. It also shows failed bulbs, not sure if the none computer bikes do this.
