this is going to sound stupid, I know, BUT...
I'm starting the whole "sorting a bike out for my wife" thing. My question is one you have probably heard a million times but I would be greatful if you you could let me know of any things which need to be looked for when buying a 650GS Dakar. I know the bike is the right size for the wife, I know she is dead keen to have one. I know I can deal with most spanner work (rebuilt 1100GS in garage- albeit slowly) From this point on, all my knowledge (not much) is based on having had the GS for three years, loving it and hating the fact that its way too heavy for the wife to ride. All that's not much help when it comes to the single cylinder lump and associated gearbox. Are there any known bad points? I reckon i've got about 2 months to find a good 'un before she starts to sus the surprise!
