Hi All

I'm thinking about trading my 650 in for a 1200 :D so while my 650 will be in for a service later this month, I've got the dealer to let me have a 1200 for the day. Is there any major difference between the bikes (besides the physical size) that I should be aware of?

When I rode the 1200 it shook so much when I revved it, it even leaned over on one side more every time I blipped the throttle.

You probably won't have a problem with the weight, but the bike is certainly not as smoother as the 650 / 800.

Had the 1200 out for the day while my 650 was in for its first annual service, and what can I say.... The 1200 is brilliant! Serious vibration from the engine at low revs under load, BUT once the engine pics up it's oh so sweet :D

Anyhoo, after riding it for about 30 miles, I thought I wanted one, but then I rode my little 650 back home after its service, and all the way home I was trying to justify the extra £4000 for the 1200... It it really worth it? Yes I am 110% sure it is if I was going around Europe, but for the touring around the UK, I really don't think do. I hope one day I can justify the extra cash for the 1200 coz it really is a nice bike. :clap
