I have a 1200GS - it's great. But I like the 650GS Dakar as well. The bike is my sole mode of transport all year round. I like the 1200GS a lot, but for what I use a bike for think that the 650GS Dakar would be more appropriate - certainly cheaper to run and maintain!
Last week I went on the 2-day Off-Road Skills Course run by Pavey and Co in South Wales - and liked the 650. Jesus can those bikes take a lot of stick!
Is there anyone out there who has ridden both and could give me the pluses and minuses for each bike? I just cannot make my mind up.
