My Zumo will not send audio to the Autocom unit when sat in the bike cradle. Audio still comes out of the Zumo speaker.

What's Wrong?

Could be any number for things but first check all your connections to Autocom jack leads - if they are even slightly disconnected then the feed will default to the units speaker.

Check the Autocom AND the Satnav are fully powered - might also want to check in a car mount to make sure the mount recognizes the unit (it should shift between a car icon and a bike icon)

If all that is OK then some have experienced a poor connection on one of the contacts which means that a new cradle is required - if the unit is in warranty no probs - if not its cheaper to buy a new mount off ebay or amazon>

Regards
Rik

Have you got it on automotive mode? i.e car mode.... a couple of times mine's done that, after using in the car on the cradle....

could be a mucky contact causing the unit not to be recognised as on the bike mount

I'll check all of the above.
Interesting what you say about connections.
Cradle does not plug direct to autocom but uses extender cables, I'll check all these.

I've got my Autocom under the back seat, and the cradle etc. on the handlebars.... and I know on occasion the music has come blaring out the 660 speaker when it shouldn't... and at the time I was visiting a mate with the same set up ... put my unit on his cradle and it was fine.....

So I sprayed WD40 on the contacts, and put it back on, and all was well again...when you switch from the car to the bike you should get a message asking if you want to switch modes.... if it doesn't ask, its not switched ;)
