OK founts of all knowledge,

I am ending my long and happy relationship with my 2610 and will be purchasing a Zumo 660 - unless I am truly put off by the tales of woe that some of you are experiencing :eek

I am currently using a Autocom Active 7 smart that I am very happy with, I want to use the SD functionality as a music library and would like to have it gently playing in the background, thrash metal for the M25 for example :).

Is it possible to hardwire the intercom ? - ie not blue tooth, I dont want to replace headsets/units etc.

Thanks,

Rich.

Are you wanting to run the phone side of the Zumo as this will help me on what leads you would need?

Cheers

Rich :beerjug:

There's a 3.5mmm socket for audio, and a 2.5mm socket for a microphone, on the bike power/conenction lead.

I'm not sure if you can get an adaptor to separate the 2 connections. I may resort to this method if Garmin doesn't sort the volume issues pretty soon.

GSRich - Can you offer a generic headset (mic with Ultimate Ears monitors) that does the job? And...where can I get a mic?

Hi Rich,

I dont want to use a phone in conjunction with the GPS, the playing of music will, I think, be enough of a distraction !
I am - by the way - still impressed with my autocom system, even if it is perceived as being old hat/technology, and Mrs Racer likes the fact she can still talk to me while "making progress".

Forgot to mention :blast, I still want it powered from the bike !
I presumed that the box contains a power lead, but that may not be the case, I seem to remeber having to purchase a special lead from Autocom for my 2610.

Cheers,

Rich.

So, do I have to use bluetooth or can I continue to use my Autocom ?
The cash is burning a hole in my pocket :)
