Hi,

have run my Zumo 660 for almost 2 years - it has never missed a beat.

Updated the software last week (maybe a complete coincidence) and seemingly ever since, it switches itself off after about 30 seconds. I have tried the reset option several times and it's no better.

My view is it must be either the software or a dead battery.

Am in correct in assuming that when the Zumo is in the cradle on the bike then it should draw power directly from the bike so it should work even if the battery is dead?

Help

Rod

try to reinstall the software again ? If the battery goes flat during the upgrade it er fecks the unit ! well thats what garmin told me. They have a fixed price repair for existing customers so a new unit will cost something like £250 aprox

Rod, I maybe wrong but did you remove the memory card before updating the unit?

I think that was part of the procedure..its been awhile since I've updated my one. :type
