78 R100RS Sidestand!

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a decent stand for my 78 R100RS, that springy thing is a PITA trying to put down whilst sitting! I did see that there was a guy on here making them, but no longer apparently.

A return to normality...

Got one of these recently for my R100... end of the PITA!

Now when I stop, I just put the sidestand down - without even thinking about. Money well spent..!!

(You have just reminded me how dreadful the standard one was...)

Have one on mine, excellent 'mod' only I'd like my stand to be about 1.5 inches longer keeping the bike more upright. Still well worth it instead of the useless OE jobbie

Why don't you get Vern to cut the foot off, weld a nut on and put the foot on some threaded bar like a Migsel?
