chocolate brake pads

is your bike non-servo?
my servo 06gs is now on its 3rd set of rear pads in 12k miles, never had a problem like this on any of my previouse bikes & the front pads still look new.

I had my rear pads replaced at the 12k service as they were decidedly dodgy. I'm approaching 22k now and this set of rears (BMW oe) still have loads of meat on them. Go figure.....:nenau Oh, and the fronts are still the original pads with plenty of life left in them yet.

Had 3 sets of rear pads (organic) and one rear disk in 35,000 miles. Mines an '04 Servo ABS bike. Front pads are about 60% worn but still good for another few thousand miles yet.

I believe the linked brakes are a bit heavy handed with the rear circuit thus the wear problem. FWIW I try to ride as smoothly as possible and adapt my style to avoid using the brakes where possible.

About to fit Sintered HH rear pads to see if they improve pad wear rates.

1800miles and metal to metal:eek: '06 Servo, won't go into the conversation with the dealer when he said it must have been my riding  can't even reach the rear lever it's that low :blast
