800gs First Service

Hi

Really quick one this. First service next week at 900 miles. Checking various threads it seems that the only thing to ask for is software / mapping upgrades. I have not [fingers crossed] suffered any engine cut out but the throttle is very snatchy - I am getting smoother with practice!

I do have a rattling sound within the fairing but have not located anyhting loose so I'll get a check on that.

Anything else anyone could draw to my attention would be great.

Otherwise I still love it!!

Just the standard ones, really. As listed elsewhere.

Ring antennae, torque check on front caliper and rear sprocket. Top hose clamp check.

Then again, assuming that you've bought yours very recently, it may be that these are not an issue with yours.
Just ask your dealer which checks they will carry out and maybe mention any that have appeared on here that aren't on his checklist. - Chances are that they are obsolete checks anyway...but you never know.

That is really weird as i have that exact same thing. When the bike is at a certain rev range it sounds like metal on metal vibrating. Can't for the life of me find what it is.

Oh and yes i love it also, bike one week old and 450miles on the clock

Will do. I used to have a Laverda which rattled like that and then the fairing fell off! Hopefully this is not the same thing.
