800gs Hyperpro front and rear spring kit

I've done lots of searches on this subject but the threads get sidetracked abit!

Does anyone have the standard height front and rear spring kit on thier bike and if so what are the real improvements?

I find that the standard suspension feels a bit crude , not necessarily to hard or soft just poorly damped maybe.
Are the Hyperpro springs likely to improve the ride without making the suspension hard?

I know its all a bit subjective but I was looking for an inexpensive improvement so any opinions welcome

I have the lowered, so all I can say is that the ride on the lowered kit is better than the standard.

Maybe try replacing the front fork oil with 10wt first, and see if you feel any difference.

Would you say the bike feels more "planted" on the road as mine feels a bit vague without feeling dangerous

I had some warranty work done to my 800 recently which involved the replacement of the front fork seals. I took the opportunity to get the standard length hyperpro progressive springs fitted.

I think its made quite a difference as the front obviously does not dive so easily. In my opinion the breaking seems to have also improved.

I also replaced the rear spring with the hyperpro standard spring. I had no issues with the OEM rear spring so cannot really comment on the improvement its made. However I no longer have to wind on much pre-load when carrying luggage or pillions.

I don't take the bike off road (maybe the odd dusty track) and use it mainly for touring and leasure rides so I cannot comment on the improvements made in this area.

Sorry cannot really comment as I replaced with the standard length springs. I would say that you may get away with the side stand as long as it is has no after market foot fitted.

Cannot really comment on the centre stand, however i would say that due to the shape of the centre stand it should not be a major issue but you may need more to apply more physical force, you may need to fit a lifting handle to help with the leverage?
