just a quick heads up guys and girls, just had my renewal from BMW and they were asking a rediculous £364 fully comp. up from £285 last year.
Now the funny thing is, Devitt who runs the bmw insurance just quoted me £165 full comp. protected no claims, legal cover etc etc etc. same as bmw.
is it me or are these people real,
thought i would just let you know and maybe save you a bob or two.
Although bmw insurance is ment to be good. they are starting to take the P-ss
Oh i feel better now:rob.

I haven't ridden for 10 years got no no claims and just paid £276 fully comp for a new GSA thro BMW so it can't all be bad. Not quite sure how they work these things out but the next best quote I got was £200 more, which I would still have considered half decent...

Here's a tip, instead of quoting 7000 pound value and 6000 miles a year ridden, go with 6999 value and 5999 mileage. Thats the way I had 100 quid knocked off my insurance.....According to the Doris at Bennetts when i queried my renewal being 100 quid more than a Carol Nash quote  :nenau

i think they give you a good price when you first sign up with them then asume you will stick with them in the future. i just wanted to tell people to check their quotes plus vent a little steam. enjoy your ride

I have two bikes (F650GS and R1200GSA) on BMW cover which I renewed this week. The initial fully comp quote including London address and one SP30 speeding was £180 but when I sucked my teeth the sales lady went back to the broker and I ended up with £116.

cheers I'll be extra vigilant around renewal time next year :thumb2

Bennets just "Automatically" Renewed mine from 240 to 599 which they just took the money from my account, despite the fact they did the same last year and I said DO NOT auto renew.

So after a fight I got my cash back (they tried to make me pay 25 quid admin fee) and I am now with carole nash for 220 quid.

bennets thieving bastards, if I hadn't have checked I would be none the wiser.

I had my CLR with Bennetts, and I rang to confirm cancellation, so I could get the no claims for the Tenere. I wrote to them to confirm the cancellation, and sent it by recorded delivery. They haven't taken any money so far :augie

However.... when I first got my license, I really fancied a KTM 950 adv. The insurance was astronomical, but the GS via BMW was easily half the price of the other quotes.

When the renewal came round the price had gone up a bit like you say, and the nice lady gave me an alternative price through Devitts. (That's how I found out the link) so I said I'd ring back. I did, and I ended up causing a problem as they shouldn't have given me the other price on that telephone number :nenau

I got BMW insurance for the cheaper price though :green gri
