850 moto guzzi battery

any info on best battery and price would be helpful

Got an odyssey pc680 in my Le Mans, and an old r1200gs battery in my Convert. Both work fine.

I stuck a small 38Ah car battery in my Cali 3.
(and probably will have to do so again soon - but it has been in there for years)

I seem to remember fitting Reliant Robin batteries many moons ago.........

I use Odyssey now but, TBH, most modern batteries are pretty good these days.

since you asked, and i'm not claiming to be an expert....

car batteries generally used to have horrid clunky terminals totally different from and unsuitable for bike use. i think they do have better terminals now?

also, the old lead/acid car batteries did not have spigots for an overflow pipe, so if the bike fell over, acid went everywhere.

so a nice gel car battery with the right terminals would be fine, if you can fit one in

I think the car battery "type" is 895 or 896 Its to do which way the terminals are

This is just and example but your local battery place or motor factors should have one in stock or be able to get you one easily

clunky- my whole Bike is one large clunk!
Yep - that's what i have now. No complaints - though (as i remembered recently to my cost ) they get furred up and bad contact/crap charge unless you are fussy with them.
