Many years ago I was offered a 'new' Yamaha RD 400 built entirely from NOS parts. I told the seller that I fully intended to ride it and he then refused to sell it to me. He kept it (unridden) and sold it years later for mega money. To the best of my knowledge it is still unridden.

It would seem to me that the only way that this bike will retain it's considerable value is if it's not ridden. I do get it, but what a rotten waste of one great motorbike.

What do we reckon? Ridden 900SS £25K ish - Unridden double ????...... :nenau

A lot of money to lose for a blast out.

Also. Ridden or rode? Not as conclusive as you (I) might think.

Or a lot of money to have sat doing nothing when the bike deserves to be ridden. You can't take it with you.
