Next big thing on the forum will be those converts who had 1100/ 1150's and they were the best bikes in the world (and totally faultless) then immediately bought a 1200 when they first came out and spent their lives slagging off the 1150 as old, slow blah, blah.
They then bought twin cams and slagged off the original underpowered and under developed 1200 (mind you they were still totally reliable)- they also continued to slag off the 1150's as well but more vociferously.
Now they've all jumped ship buying new liquid cooled 1200GS's, paying deposits on a bike that they had only seen in pictures and now they have taken delivery of their new toys and guess what ?
Yes they are the best thing since sliced bread , now they will happily start slagging off the horrid crude twin cam BMW's as old fashioned and archaic, nearly as horrid as the old 1100 and 1150 blah ,blah.
PS not jealous , have looked at the new bike, not what I want, could afford one but don't want one .
I own a twin cam it's okay, not been 100% reliable but it will do until I retire , I loved my old 1150 , had in 9 years it was old fashioned , slightly crude and it wasn't 100% reliable either but always felt it was a nicer bike.
