If he had got his knee out of the way, he could have leant it over properly (look at how much he could have increase the angle of lean before even the footpegs touched down) and then he wouldn't need a bus to go visit the apex.

This is Alan O'Connor who works at Kearys Motorrad in Cork.

Alan rides Supersport 600cc and knows Mondello like the back of his hand.

I think these pics were taken at the last BMW Track day at Mondello last year, I know cos I was chasing him round the track trying to keep up with him on a K1200R!
The Adv was bucking and weaving and quite obviously protesting to this treatment, but was sparking on the floor and Alan did have his knee down.:bow:bow

No camera tricks here - just balls an talent.

The good news is the bike will go down that far and still come back up! The bad news is my nerve doesnt go down that far!

think yer right, there Aiden

on closer inspection, they are certainly some of the hybrid-type tyres available.

when i first saw the lean angles, i had thought some of the road-only tyres were likely.

Blimey!

Patrick.

Tyres definetely look like Dunlop trailmax. I know cos i need a new one!

Alan O'Connor (pictured above in this thread)from Kearys BMW Motorrad was racing in the British supersport championship at Oulton park last weekend and was involved in a serious accident that has left him in Chester Hospital with a broken leg, ankle, pelvis, wrist, ribs, nose and a fractured skull.

He is currently stable in intensive care.

I am hoping he will make a full recovery and will update with progress report as we get one.
