Can anyone give ma a rundown please on the model year differences please?

And best year to buy?

Was there any old models kicking around sold new in later years ie 2004 sold in 2006/7?

TIA

The very early adventures had corroding spokes .

head bolts were replaced under warranty on earlier ones 53/04 plate

the latest 950 I know of is my mates 55 plate black one as seen in some of the glen clova gathering pics .

mine is 04 and I have had no trouble with it at all (except a punture at the gathering )

I had one of the very last 950 bikes in the UK, on an 06 plate (in fact, the 990 had just been launched, but I didn't like the fuel injection, so managed to find one of the last brand new 950 bikes).

I don't have much info on good/bad years, but I had no trouble with mine apart from an occasionally erratic fuel warning light.

When you find one, call any dealer with its details - I think they can access the dealer database of the history of the bike and what recalls it is due and has had.

For more info, check out Orange Crush on advrider, plus there is a UK KTM forum as well.

Early versions had silver rims, swapped to black ones for 2004 model year from memory. I think there was minor tweaks in each model year as they debugged the engine.
