Accidently filled up with this on Saturday going to the bike show.
I fill up just before the motorway to avoid the price premium. It is about 240 miles from there to NEC & back & 50 miles of A roads each way.
Normally I get 45 mpg when using all the horses, & 45 mpg
taking it steady.
On Saturday I did 237 miles & could only squeeze 20 litres in. That is 53 mpg.
It cost me an extra £2 for the 97 ron petrol but I got an extra 36 miles from the 20 litres. Usually I have to do a splash on the motorway to get the 237 miles. As normal unleaded petrol is £5 60 at the moment, it seems to be a winner.
Couple of other points, it took me 2 3/4 hours to do the run with no filtering which happens on week days & 3 hours travelling time. Also 30 miles at 50mph in road works this time. Always have panniers & topbox on, & solo.
Note again that I always seem to get 45 mpg whatever.
