9w led spots

Fitted these and quite pleased. £50 off eBay from HK, arrived in 4 days.

Brackets from eBay too (couldn't stretch to Migsel's fine product) £45. Added kill switch to manage them from the bars and wired in to BlueSea fuse panel bought here a few months ago.

Mainly there to be seen rather than to see and seem to do a decent job. Will have to set up properly one dark night.

Any advice on further tidying the wiring of the fuse box appreciated. Left a bit of slack so that the tray can be lifted when needed. No kinks or rubbing but the open terminals on the relay make me a bit nervous. In line fuse ahead of the relay. Any ideas to cover the relay pins? Shrink wrap?

with your dip beam as a guide.

oooh i do like the fuse panel! yep the spots are great, crisp white so stands out against the normal yellow headlights, price is very good and the ebay guy is decent to deal with as well.

I'll do some photies and add to post. They seem to keep up with the HiD low beam quite well. Very much a spot pattern.

I got some of the 27w ones (probably from the same guy in HK).
Very nice and very bright - unfortunatly I ended up with the multi mode type which be set to flash in a very 'attention grabbing' way

However, they are mostly useless on a bike since control of the different modes is by a quick switch on and off (or a start of the engine). you inevitable end up with them out of synch (on on full and the other flashing.

Guy in HK is very helpful and has agreed to exchange them for a set of single mode lights.

I have the same switch as you, is yours on when it says off and vice versa?

You can get shrouded spade terminals to fix the problem of exposed connections. Just need to remake the ends.

mm odd, depending which way you have them wired then they shouldnt be out of sync.

Problem is they have different sensitivities to the voltage drop when the engine starts - one light senses it has been cycled, but the other doesn't. Since they are both wired to the same switch, you can't get them back in sync without unwiring them.

The single mode variety should sort it out.

Mine's an engine cutoff switch - always says on when its off and vice versa, regardless of how it is wired.
