Hi,

The BBRC will be running it's first off road event, the RallyMoto Sprint on the 22nd April 2012.

The course is at Sweet Lamb and this will be very "Big Bike" friendly with 95% of the course being open, hard packed fire roads.

So if you fancied a go at rallying your big bike - this will be the place to get into rallying.

For further information and to reserve a place at the event go to:-

cheers Burt

Will check later to make sure I'm not booked elsewhere, but sounds great Burt. :thumb2

Is this GSerable Bike Bike Rally?

Just asking !

Just to back up what Burt has said, the fire roads at Sweet Lamb are easily rideable on a GS or similar on knobblies. :thumb

Even if you you're not riding for competition, the Sweet Lamb complex (and therefore the event) is a brilliant place to ride as hard as you're comfortable with, without the worry of cars, pedestrians, dogs or horses etc. being round the next corner, or even worse coming the other way.

I don't think that can be guaranteed chap :( We still get ramblers, Horses, 4x4's, Quids etc turn up in the middle of nowhere :nenau

We had 2 4X4's with box trailers on the back turn up in special stage two at the Cambrian Rally this year  Out collecting wood apparently :thumb

The advantage of Sweet Lamb is that it is a closed complex - so there should be no other vehicular users - maybe an odd walker on rights of way but nothing else.

No other vehicles are allowed on sweet lamb EVER so rst assured you won't see any thing other than the people who are supposed to be there

Here's a couple pics to give you an idea of the tracks from last time we were there:

Famous last words :D

I hope not but the reality is probably yes, same bike. :D

Not a problem you will be fine on the 650 as there are no stoppers and it is trail bike friendly same guys are going to win what ever they ride ' its about riding yourself against the clock mm

Is it big-bike only? I saw some mention about a smaller bike rally challenge somewhere but I cannot remember what it was called or where it was mentioned.

No its rallymoto open to all size of bikes

Fantastic:thumb2

Signed up on my R1100GS:D

Determined to do a lot more of these events this year. Just have to increase my strength to allow for picking up my 1100 frequently.:)

Worked out a strict training schedule in my gym combining aerobic and strength training but I'll still probably be the weakness, fattest most unfit competitor on the day with the heaviest bike but it won't stop me having fun.:)

Might try to pursuade my sons to join me on their smaller bikes.

Firmly on the calendar.

Damn, just noticed that June round clashes with my Airhead Weekend.:(

Does anyone know the dates for the Dawn to Dusk this year as I definitely want to enter that one again?
