I must say a big thanks to some NW forum members for an enjoyable weekend at the Ryedale.

Firstly a big thanks to Phil and Malc for convincing this off road newbie to enter. It was the most fun i'd had on a bike for a long time and not a bit as scary as I thought it might be.

Secondly a big thanks to Phil for driving Malc and I up there in his big Nissan and for sorting out his big flat bed trailer so it would accomodate all 3 bikes. The 2 of you are great company despite all the piss taking. Thanks fellas:thumb

Thirdly nice one PaulXC for the loan of the big gazebo, the knee support and for your excellent brew making skills . Glad you decided to enter too.:thumb2

Next its a big thank you to our resident NW osteopath Denise (earthmovers better half) for her nursing skills after I fecked my knee up on saturday and also for chauffering me around on Sunday too :bow

It was great to see a load of guys from the forum in general up there and meet a few new faces. Bambam (HP2) , Lillith , Burtieboy (LC4) , Mouse (950ADV), Ben (HP2 and a few others + Mav again. It was a realy great event , so well organised and such a great atmosphere + some excellent weather unlike the vids I saw from last years monsoon like event.

I've an appointment at the doctors at 10.15 to check out my knee so we'll see what the prognosis is.

Now , let the pisstaking commence, bring it on Phil... :dabone

Denise is registered on here as "Lady O", but as she never gets time to get on her computer she hasn't posted anything!
Hope the knee gets better soon. :thumb

Hi Mark,

I didnt think she was registered . Please pass on my thanks to her again :thumb2

Went to the docs , nothing broken but the ambulance guys pretty much confirmed that too and I doubt I could have ridden the bike out with anything busted anyway. She did say quote " You'd probably wish you had busted something cos it would be quicker to heal. Some nice ligament/tissue damage there instead, 8-12 weeks to heal fully depending on how you look after it. Signed off work for a week , come back for another sign off next week, back in two weeks for physio if not seriously improved by then ".........

However, I really need to be at work so taking 2 days off for now and arranging some way of keeping it elevated whilst there.

The good news is the swelling that was still evident last night when I went to bed has significantly reduced .Might look into getting some physio privately anyway because I definitely need to be fully fit for the birth in 11 weeks time.:bounce1

PS Just noticed your sig line ;)
