A braw day Grommit

Rab - reliability will ALWAYS be a factor with these:comfort My mate bought a brand new one some years back and road it down to North Africa. It blew up in Marseilles so back to the importers went the engine (in a hired Renault 5) and the put another engine in. That engine blew up in Niger so they took it out to have a look and it was stolen from outside their tent in the night:eek::eek: He had to fly the chassis out because of the Carnet and then fitted an old BMW airhead engine in it and had it for years:thumb:thumb

Aye cheers Andy ah feel a lot better noo:blast
This is actually the updated version with a 750 engine and keihin carbs.
That are supposed to be a lot better.
in all fairness it has been lying off the road for over a year.

In Sept '07, 'Gordon' and I were heading South near Shap on the M6 (on our way to Morocco) when we saw that outfit heading North.

It was being used by "Two Wheel Only" Mag who were on a run to visit the Lakeland cottage made famous in the film "Withnail and I".

There can't be more than one - can there ???

Bob.
