A Bridge Too Far! (Millau and the middle bit)

I've also been to the Canadian memorial at Vimy and IMO, it's the most glorious and impressive of all the Great War memorials I've ever seen.
 
I enjoyed this report - must go back to the Massif Central some time. Last time I was there, c1995, you could ride to the top of the Puy du Dome.
 
Nice, trip, shows there's much more to France than the Alps :D Shame I hadn't seen your route sights request thread thingy before. Puy de Dome is good, but 10 minutes from there is the notorious Charade Grands Prix circuit. The old, dangerous parts are now public roads and it's pretty awesome to drive down them trying to imagine GP cars racing there in the 60s and 70s. Recommend a quick half hour detour for any motorsports fans in the area.
