A day on the Africa Twin.........

Sadly we all know what will happen to this thread within the next 10 posts or so :blast

Ordinarily I'd say I should go and buy myself a lottery ticket as I'm so good, however it was too so easy to predict some of the tedious drivel being written within this thread that I think I'll just congratulate myself with a biscuit.

950 Adventure rules :dabone

Turn off the telly if it all gets too drivelly and predictable for you - one is not forced to watch :dabone

Oh ffs !!

The WR and DRZ are off road bikes .

The AT is a trail

:blast

No need to swear :(
You are Wrong again though :P

A KTM525exc is an off road bike
A DRZ400 is a trail bike
An Africa Twin is a road bike in trail bike clothes
And a a 1200GS is a touring bike in adventure clothes

:hide

Oh and a Multiatrada 1200 is an Enduro bike ?

:aidan

This sorts the fueling flat spots

Bike on the Dina Pro dynamometer at Hilltop - lean fueling fixed (AFR ratio was between 16.0 and 17.5) and is now down to between 12 and 13 and flat - no more spikes in delivery

Kewl :) - so Honda don't know how to do a simple thing like make their engines fuel properly either - tis amazing how all these major manufacturers are so crap at engine design that a simple little back street tuner can fix their badly designed bikes in an instant - Hilltop must be truly awesome :D

Honda are working under different parameters though.

Fuel consumption , exhaust emissions , DB levels etc etc.

You not heard of EU emission and noise regulation?

Echo ......:augie

You'd think he'd be we'll up on EU regs ......

Engine tuners start off with a blank canvas.

Engine manufacturers start off with a rule book. :thumb2

 bit harsh . Don't blame me , I don't work for Ducati. How they can call that massive thing, as nice as it is, an Enduro is beyond me :nenau

I think it was MCN or bike or recently compared a Euro3 to Euro4 bike (zx10r I think) to see the difference in performance and the way the bike behaved. A lot of work done to produce a similar amount of power but it didn't deliver it as nicely.
They covered off the change requires including the necessity to eliminate fuel vapours when the bike is garaged.

Euro 6 will be next , same as cars . That could be fun. Maybe electric is the way forward after all ?

Ohh God he's here again
Any sign of that software hack you've been working on?

Probably, but for as long as they keep on saying bikes don't require emmisions testing at MOT time who gives a toss. The day they start testing then maybe some of this will stop .

People who care about pollution might give a toss.
