Whilst the 800gs was in having some work done today they decided to let me loose on the wc gs, so would I rush out and buy one........

not a chance in hell**

good bits :

Its seriously quick
good wind protection*
seat felt decent

bad bits:

Holy f**k what a shite gearbox clunky cant describe it enough
so many rattles and weird knocking noises coming from god knows where
bars way to far foward
felt cheaply made in regards to plastics etc
how many electric gizmo handle bar thingys
seems to have lost the rugged 1150/old 1200 feel
footpegs for a size 5 woman
Computer info too cluttered very hard to read*

all in all very disappointed tbh cant beleive anyone would be happy shelling out that sort of money on it and this had 2000miles on it

Think bmw got it wrong with this one

once im finished with the 800gs ill be jumping back on a yam xt1200 now theres a bike that rides like its meant to

Agree with your review. Every word. And your right about the cost.....way too much. Should be no more than 11k. One thing you missed tho,how it rides.= AWSOME..

Yes you will. You'll be sobbing into your pillow tonight unable to sleep because someone has slighted the mighty GS........:tears

Oh no he won't.....:thumb

As a man of consummate good taste and integrity, he'll realise that the naysayers are, as yet, not discerning enough to join the ranks of de *Glitterboys* - Jawohl! :P

Well it is just over 11k:blast or £11650 exactly ....

I got a September 2013 GS TE with spotlights and a Navigator 5, 505 miles, cost price £14700 near enough and paid £11900.

Best bike I have ever owned.

Strange , my LC was in for service and they lent me the 800 gs , and I found it soulless boring and vibey, my xt 600 was better and nicer to ride . This is not a nasty reply just my opinion . The new gs has it's issues but to compare it to a 800 come on.........

BURN HIM ................Blasphemer

I firmly believe the latest incarnation is indeed a Perfection of an Icon and is also appealing to the younger generation.....

Clearly some older mature owners get it, some don't and they're still pushing their Hovis bread delivery bikes up that long hill reminiscing about the good old days... "ay by eck lad" :comfort :D

TO BONDY............doooooooooh..................Well I guess your entitled to your Opinion. ... Just so happens that your opinion is worth shit and a load of bollocks. Are you neuronically challenged......meaning stupid........

Holy f**k what a shite gearbox clunky cant describe it enough As many here have testified they are not all like this
so many rattles and weird knocking noises coming from god knows where Bless, do you wear ear plugs?
bars way to far foward They are adjustable and one position won't suit every rider
felt cheaply made in regards to plastics etc Subjective.....
how many electric gizmo handle bar thingys Not too many, indicators take some getting used to, that aside all straightforward.
seems to have lost the rugged 1150/old 1200 feel You say that like it's a bad thing :D
footpegs for a size 5 woman I have a GSA the pegs are fine, the regular GS pegs are smaller, do you ride in clown shoes?
Computer info too cluttered very hard to read* Should have taken your varifocals :comfort

It's not for everyone :D
