A few beers in Moffat

I see ollie was stalking the room with his camera again! 😂 Thanls to all for the help today to get the torsion bar sorted on my GS. Luckily nothing serious came of it. Special thanks to Clint in the Buccleuch hotel and his mate Graham who provided the replacement bolts that will get me home to Kildare. And to Ollie (dub24) who spotted the issue while admiring my arse in bike trousers (he is denying everything, but I know better) 😂😂.

Thanks to all who organised the weekend, great to meet so many new faces whom I hope to see again, hopefully as soon as Leenane in September. 👍 Safe home to all. 🏍️👍😎
Ahh Jaysus.....is that fancy new bike falling asunder already??

I think dub24 has woken up - the glass of water on my bedside table just stopped vibrating! 😂 Now I think about it, could have been his snoring that loosened out the torsion bolt on the GS. All makes sense now. 😁
Lying cnut it's the vibration you cause interfering with yourself while on the bike. 😄

Cracking weekend, thanks to Alistair for organising
Nice to meet a lot of new faces, and the Irish boys ( ollie and sean) cheers for the laughs and craic last night. Hopefully get to Lenanne with Jim ( lad with all the lights on the 1250!).
Safe travels

You know lads the worst thing is Sean didn't rinse it and either bin it or ask what was on it. No straight in for a taste ,now either he trusts me or is one sick puppy. Either way I'll never eat chocolate cake in his house ,just sayin

The weather being pish this morning I had breakfast, packed the tent (very wet) and headed home. By the time I got to Broughton, the sun was splitting the pavements!

Thanks to Alistair for organising. :thumb

Curses on the guy who stopped his car just south of Blyth Bridge to chase a lamb around the road! He waited until I was 100 yards off and then started! The lamb survived (AFAIK!) The motorist might not have, if I'd stopped!

I went the wrong way for a ride out today - should absolutely have gone East instead of West looking at the weather now.
Anyway, back in Moffat now and off for more beers to prop up the local economy before heading home via the office tomorrow morning.
Thanks for organising and its always quite interesting to put faces, and stature, to names !
;)

Took a lone ride out at mid morning after an enormous breakfast cooked by Retro (and a 9hr + kip!)

It was wet in Moffat and I took the glorious A701 and stayed on it until just south of Penicuik, following the sunshine south and west. I found myself on the A702 and the A721 to Galston before heading south again back to Moffat via Wanlockhead and Ledhills.

No coffee or piss stops today! Only photo stops 😂

Considering I did no actual planning and just went point to point I’m very impressed with the XT2 and its ‘adventurous’ setting.

Back into Moffat and the mist descended once again

Another 164 miles in the saddle and the 1150 gets better and better. :beerjug:
