A few beers in Moffat

I think this is worth posting - that if you are ever this way and want a stay as an alternative to the ‘hotel’ - this air bnb is exceptional.

Right on the northern edge of town, It’s a 10 minute stroll the Buccleaugh.
Hosts are so lovely.
It’s very private and superb quality.

A top weekend, met some great people and the drink was flowing. We even had a course on how to fix a torsion bar bolt.😊

must do it again but need some time to let our livers recover.🍻

The Brut33 intention was to head north up the A82 to Fort William, but changed the plan because of rain forecast from the west. East looked clear so headed up to Aviemore via Perth. I soon found out the rain was in the east as well, bistard. I was not only bored on the A9 but piss-wet through as well.:blast
Anyway, in a nice hotel now 5 miles out of town. They've given me a suite, they must have felt sorry for me.😄

Best wishes chaps, till we meet again.:beerjug:

Right before that muppet gets on here to tell lies . Yes I ran out of juice again only because fcukhead wouldn't stop for fuel in the North. Keep riding he says I've the same amount as you he says well guess what I don't. Last time I'll listen to him 😃

Nice to meet a few of you folks.

For those I spoke to, it was Clennel Hall I was talking about.

And, don’t ever stay at the Green Frog campsite. The owner/manager or whatever is bizarre to say the least.
Clenell Hall would be a good venue
Good to see you again

Well, after presuming that was chocolate on my toothbrush and then discovering it wasn't, it was time to get revenge. Can't believe after years of knowing someone that they would stoop so low. True colours and all that. 😭

In my defence ollie rode straight past a petrol station, the same one that I rode back to to get him a litre of juice for his bike. I thought the air cooled 1200 had a fuel gauge, but I must be mistaken. 😉

Was a great couple of days and hard to fault. Especially to put some faces to forum names………..and then hastily forget real names?! Age is a motherfucker!!

The 'Adventure Cub' adds another Country to its achievements :thumby:

An easy ride north to the Sheep Island View Hostel at Ballintoy. What a lovely place, ten rooms all en-suite. Two pubs two hundred yards down the hill (uphill coming back)

Shit ..... parking up at the rear of the Hostel I dropped my 'Misadventure Cub' The ground was uneven for the crap side stand and I pulled the 'bike on to the top of me. No one around, took the luggage off and managed to pick it up :blast

Mirror loosened, soon sorted. Scratch on the front mudguard but nothing bent or broken. Even the bottle of Old Pulteney 12 year old in the soft pannier survived intact :D

Oh, and the horn button. I rescued the press in bit which had popped out, looks like it will pop straight in again but has to be from the inside. So need to strip it down ..... but I never use the feckin' horn anyway, only prior to an MOT :D

The Traditional fish and chips were OK but not worth the £18.50 charged. I shan't be returning ...

Last visited with Sue (Gracie on here) power cut and we were given free fresh made sandwiches and free bottled bier :thumby:
The Fullerton Arms is not what it used to be unfortunately :blast

I'm given to understand that the front door of The Fullerton Arms is featured in 'The Game Of Thrones' ...
