Wow, fantastic photos! I'm going to the Picos in late September, so my mouth is watering already...

BTW, not an eagle, probably a Griffon vulture:

They're all over Spain, especially in the mountains.

Hello Kropotkin,You might be right saw lots of Griffon vultures on the way to Potes ,this bird flew right over are heads it was huge looked far bigger than the Griffon vultures watched it for 20 mins.I think someone mentioned it could have been a" bald headed eagle"might be wrong though. You'll have a fanastic time the roads are excellent and there's lots of tracks to explore wish i was going back

cheers martin

that last photo...the one with the mountain goat thingy....

Me an three mates decided to see how far we could get going down into the valley without turning our engines on, just rolling......We did over ten miles and got up to over Sixty miles an hour in places.......crazy..!...what a place.!

Brings back some memories. Bumped into you at the hotel Torreceredo on the gs1200. The scenery is awesome, and your right, the photos don't do it justice.

Found this hiden on the side of the road

This bridge you saw, is dated back to roman times, and its an absolute hoot to cross over and head up into the hills. We went up this back in April and is a right laugh.

You'll also see it in the 2007 TT catalogue :-)

Some really cool roads up there. Thuir/Thor is a cracking place, some fantastic eating to be had.
:clap

You took a nice snap even way back then.
This is my trip for next year and hopefully we can find lots of off roading.
Not sure yet whether it will be before or after the summer.

:thumb2 Agree Los Picos is a great place to go with a bike. I was there last September but want to go back again. I like the idea of Pyrenees/Andorra AND Los Picos. That sounds really good. Bit more off-road this time. I was the only GSer in the group I was with last time.

Great pics - wish I was there now. :thumb
