I've just added a velocity stack, K&N air filter and Mistral exhaust to my Euro5+ V85. I will add the de cat pipe, but they are still in development.
I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The bike appears much more responsive and certainly accelerates noticeably quicker. It sounds nicer with the Mistral exhaust, although from past experience I would think it will sound even better once the decat pipe is fitted. Expensive, but I'm well pleased with the results.

On my Euro 5 I have removed the cat, fitted an AliExpress exhaust, Mistral v-twin boost, velocity stack and k&n air filter....no remap and the bike runs fine and is certainly a better bike over the stock config.

Still awaiting the Vtwin boost and the mistral decat is still in development for the Euro5+. They assured me that even with everything fitted, a remap was not necessary.

You have got to have a remap. Otherwise how will we debate the merits of the different approaches to this much misunderstood black art. JJH

OK you're richening it up some with a booster.

I don't deny I swapped my bikes a lot, sometimes I swapped bikes I really liked in the knowledge that I could always buy another.
Why did I swap my bikes? Simple, I just wanted to experience as many bikes as I could and I could also afford it.
I retired from the NHS in 2010 aged 55. I returned to work 15 hrs per week, my wages were purely my pocket money. I chose to spend that money on bikes and biking paraphernalia.
At 70 I have now fully retired, sadly my bike buying funds have greatly diminished but I've thoroughly enjoyed the last 15 years.
I currently have just the two bikes, V85TT euro 5+ and a Lovely 2012 Stelvio 1200. The V85 will be my main bike for the foreseeable, the Stelvio I will keep until it just becomes to much.

Don't worry about spending money folks ,it's just a tool. I reckon I've spent well over £120k on bikes and bike related stuff over the last 15 years. It's been a lot more fun than seeing it sitting in a bank.

I feel the same, and what I don't spend my heirs are sure to.

There are some fickle fuckers on here . 😜

I've just watched a video on the early V85tt. I thought 'that reg looks familiar' had a look back through my insurance, sure enough it was my very first V85. NV19 SKN.

I don’t think they need upgrading. Pretty good package out of the box. There are a few performances upgrades you can get but I really don’t think they are worth getting. The only upgrades I have are a hugger top box lower front mudguard heated grips (pre wired for) and tyre pressure monitors. JJH

If I could twist the dealers arm for a better trade in I’d have a new one! JJH
