All you good people out there with your vast knowledge of all things :GS related, tell me this.

Is there a set of footpegs I could get off a breaker that would drop my front footpeg height on my 1100 by about an inch?

If there were could you tell me the make and model of bike I would have to steal it from?

Even better could one of you steal them and I’ll pay you!!!!:D :D

Or someone with a cheap lowering kit

Now finally these extra-large, four way adjustable footpegs enable you position them according to your needs and to the driver's body height.
Especially on long-distance trips, the lowest position improves riding comfort considerably as it enables a relaxed riding position.

£77.19.

Ta Commuter, I’ve looked at them and a couple of others.

One of my friends said he would make me a set of lowering brackets in his engineering firm if I want.

I don't see the point of paying some company big money for a set of pegs if I can get a good alternative off a breakers for about a tenner or so.

And the reason I just don't go ahead and get my mate to make the lowering kit is that he works hard enough and he would be doing this in his spare time and for free and I don't want to take up the little free time he has if I don't have to.

There is another thread on this topic and it seems that the Honda Pan European pegs are a straight bolt on and lower the position by about 1 inch.

i seen the thing about the pan pegs too but i couldn't find it again.

just done a search for"Pan European pegs" and other varations of the pegs ,footrests ,footpegs thing. but i can't seem to find the thread.
point me in the right direction if you can.

its in the sale/wanted section, my request for footrest lowering kit. Pan footrests don't just drop-in, you need a small L shape bracket.

On the pan pegs, you need to apply a 5-6mm spacer beind the peg to bring it into line, and a simple washer to space the side out.. Or you can make a L type bracket to do both jobs,,

And this..... The spacers are self explanatory... very comfy too, but its been pointed out that they may be a bit slippy off road, but as i only venture onto a gravel driveway most of the time, does'nt cause me a problem.
