I am just back from a four day ‘mini-holiday’ in northern France, Cote D’Or (Dijon)

As members often post asking for suggestions of where to go for a ‘French quicky’ I thought I would post up the Garmin files. I also have the routes available as Excel files if anyone wants them.

After the short motorway blast to J5 on the first day the roads open up. Particularly for large parts of the second day and all of the third day they are quite excellent, being mostly D roads. The return leg is about 2/3 N and D roads and ends up with just a 100 mile m’way bash to knock off the last bit to Calais.

The hotels were both Logis. There are lots of hotels in the area, so plenty of choice of choice.

Du vill 'av zer fun and du vill enjoy it, ja! Dat iz ein oder!

Pleased to say I had nothing to do with the route plans but the 'fun' roads are certainly that, miles of twisties through the rolling countryside of northern France. If anyone wants a decent weekend blast in the area they could do worse.

1200GS chasing ZX9 and 04 'Blade....amazing what 87HP and 020s will do!
