Got a love early ride in today, here is a link to some pix. Gives you an idea of why I moved out here from London back in '93. The roads in the LA area are just superb, these pix were all taken on a shortish 3 hour ride from home right in the middle of Hollywood!

Thanks guys...

Was out again yesterday, and threw the shots up in a little site I made for the MM, you can see them and more at here.

Riding season has started in earnest now...

opps, double post!

Since I grew up in the New Forest I know that most of you are now looking at bare branches and sweeping the fallen leaves for Guy Fawkes night bonfires.

LA is as far south as Morocco, so our riding season is really just beginning, it has been way too hot to wear a helmet or leathers for most of the summer, but now we have sunny skies with temps ranging between 10-25º C till the rains come in the spring.

I'll keep posting pix over on my site, as I've got it set so we can post many, and big ones too. Here is a link to today's ride, and a look at some of the bikes gathered for breakfast at the Rock Store. http://www.hp2.info/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=39&p=80#p80

Great pics, thanks for sharing.:thumb2

I've never been the USA, but it's becoming more and more appealing to, as this little island becomes more and more less appealing:mmmm

Scottish.....moved to LA.....you're Ewan, aren't you? Come on, don't be shy, own up. And lend me a few quid.

Nah, I doubt he'd be on a forum anyway, he has a wife, kids and a full on career to manage! Oddly enough I was stood next to him with his two beautiful girls at U2 last weekend, but was to overcome with shyness to tell him how much I loved the box set of his & Charlie's travels that I just finished - plus I really didn't want to bother him with his kids. What I will say is that all the other celebs on the mix desk bailed four or five songs before the show ended, but he and the girls stayed to the end.

Well sadly right as we enter our prime riding season (summer is wayyy too hot to ride, it can be over 35ºC for weeks at a time) I got downed by an f'ing idiot on a bicycle, and not just me, he took out my friend Christian too! We were just pulling out of a side street when this idot came flying along the hedge on the wrong side of the road and ran smack into both of us!
All three of us ended up on the ground, Christian's Adventure and the bicycle were unscathed, but the Megamoto exploded into a thousand shards of plastic and carbon fiber! :blast:blast:blast

Quick Question : The pics of the MM in the hills looking back to LA show that the sun is behind the bike. What did you 'light' the bike with to get such nice shots ?

All photos with a Canon G10 with built in flash, and then 'Shadows & Highlights' in Photoshop.

No pics of that then?
I have plenty of pix of the damage, the scene of the accident, and the ******* idiot cyclist, but they don't make for great content, just handy to have for the insurance claim.
