Got mine free from a local stainless steel exhaust maker, a bit of scrap left on the floor. For free it will do me but I like that Remus one but need to be able to get the full size pannier on.

With just the Y instead of the CAT? Hell yes! It's loud . . VERY loud. Tried it before I put my CAT back on.

With the CAT on its own it isn't as loud as the Remus Y and end can(road legal).

Any one have any suggestions to getting the original can off. After 7 years and 70k mine is stuck fast. Have applied a liberal amount of WD40 hoping that might free it up. Next stage is to remove the rear wheel and apply heat with a blow torch.

Any advice appreciated

should pass but upto tester, if he,s a bit tight,put the can on,unless your in yorks,then ill do it for you at a discount price(a blatent plug)

Correct....but you do need a BSI Kite Mark or an E mark to comply with the terms of the Construction and Use Regulations unless the bike is fitted with the OE silencer with the maker's name stamped on it.

The cat has an E stamp so there should be no probs, my bike sailed through its MOT. If I ever manage to get back riding the bike again the Titanium funnel thingy stubby pipe wotsit majig is the first thing to go on. Was going to order it but not sure of the future yet.

look in the mot book, it says wi no marks on exaust, gotta be comparable to similar bike of similar age,all u gotta worry about
