Michelin used to publish several ‘France virees a moto’ books, which then dropped away.

As I am in France, this map (which I have never seen advertised in the UK) popped up via Amazon.

I have ordered a copy, not least as I am never ashamed to beg, borrow or steal ideas from anywhere. It also seems to feature GPX downloads of the routes, which is handy.

As far as I can make out, Michelin also appear to be offering reprinted / updated copies of their books, too.

That looks brilliant. You could do their suggestions, or join up bits to reach your destination..

I have returned from trips only to subsequently see reports of great roads that I just missed, or despite lots of planning, the weather has for led me to shift across the country to a different area. This would be really handy.

I'll definitely look out for a copy.

Not very helpful, ( I hear some say, following by tut) got a link my fellow bikermates?

Sorry to bust into your thread wapping ; but with you being the man of many maps and the font of all A-B knowledge could you tell me of a map for the A1 from the forties; and would there be anyway you could impose a modern day map of the A1 over the top seeing both routes together; or can it even be done; i have always had a bit of a fascination with our original super highway. :beerjug:
Assuming it's the A1 in the UK, this is one way of doing it:

Might be worth asking Jon/John from Auto Shenanigans YouTube channel, (if Wapping is indeed unable to assist you with your request). He currently doing series of videos titeled, Great British Road Journeys, whilst following a 1923 Michelin guide book. Jon/John will often overlay original routes onto a latest (Google?) map.

Thank you for posting it Wessie, others will benefit from this for sure.

This ⬆️⬆️⬆️ however was just a bit of tongue in cheek banter, seeing as allot of folks like being fed from a silver spoon and all that.. :D

It amuses me that if you buy it in France its €7,95 (Amazon Prime)
However, because its new and classed as a book, you have to pay €3 postage unless you spend €35.
If you spend €35 on books, it still cost 1 centime to post it :ROFLMAO:

I bought it from Amazon France, along with a couple of other publications which are not available via Amazon UK.
