Met up with Chris on top of Molls Gap this morning hoping to try out his new bike. However he'd just cleaned it and as it had been raining decided to use his other bike the TA :wag:
Anyway I was trying out a route for next years run. We headed up .... GAP
And then down the other side to .... Where we took a left and did the next pass .......
And on into .......... where we had dinner, nice pub with well priced food and open all year
After dinner we swapped bikes so Chris could try my Vara.... and headed over the hill to ......bay
Lovely
Then over another hill and around a few bends took us back to Chris's house for a cuppa... Fortunately by now the weather had improved and we took out the Versys... But I did not take out the camera
:
And burnt some rubber back to our starting point Molls Gap.. The versys is a great bike but took me a while to get used to the front wheel
as well as trying to keep up with Chris who knows the roads round the place very well...
PS I have removed all names of places visited as If you found out I would have to kill you, secrecy and all that
Thanks for the trip Chris, I did 300km's and am now a bit tired...
The only downer for the possibility of this route for next year is that it takes in about 50k's of the RoK which even today half way through september had a few coaches on it which would be difficult for a big group of riders to get around.
