Can I use a 0.5amp 230volt fuse in a 12 volt circuit ? Maybe a stupid question but doesn't a fuse blow on excess amps not volts ?

Yes, you can use this fuse on any 12v device not rated above 6 watts.

Fuses blow on excess current - voltage is not per se a factor.

Cheers Greg . I thought I remembered this from physics lessons at skool all those years ago :D

It's easy. It's V/R=I

Or is it V*I=R?

Then again, is it V=IR?

I can never remember!

:D

Greg

...V
I....R This should have appeared as a triangle

V= I X R.
I= V divided by R
R= V divided by I

better still

watts =volts * amps
amps= watts/volts
volts= watts/amps

and lastly 10pints= 1 hangover squared= 1 wallet

of course if we are talking ac, don't forget our old friend the phase angle

F##k I just blew up my alternator - I think I confused it enough to shprt circuit it :D
