Just a quick report of my recent run to the North of Scotland. Due to a very good weather report 11th - 14th April I decided to desert the Emerald Isle and head in search of quiet roads and stunning scenery. I wasn't disappointed :D

I travelled up to Gairloch for a couple of nights to the Old Inn as usual and on the last night headed for OONYACKISTAN hoping for an audience with the King

Awesome pictures. Must get up there this year or next year. Also need to squeeze in Norway, Iceland, Dolomites, Morocco and maybe, if there is time, the odd family camping weekend in Swanage to keep everyone else happy.

Stunning

Beautiful pics bud .I never made it as far north as you that weekend ,but took advantage of the weather andheaded for Mull .Went down to Iona it was gorgeous althought the roads are non to clever and im used to single track.from there we took the scenic route up below Ben more to Tobermory, that road was two strips of tar with grass growing in the middle but i wouldnt have missed it for the scenery was brill.Only there 30 minutues and seen two Eagles .Good weekend and to think its 100 miles from Glasgow.Cheers big Jets.PS Iwant to climb QUINAIG

On the Saturday I headed for the land of OONYACKISTAN in hope of an audience with the King :bow

I rode first of all to the Knightly port of Portree where many fine damsels could be found :) ( non in distress or in need of much rescuing though :( ) :D

From I here I rode my trusty steed to the seat of power in OONYACKISTAN ... appropriately named 'The Stein'. I was dismayed to find that only 20 Knights were permitted in at a time :tears

Not being easily deterred however I hoisted my shield put forth my lance and advanced towards the grail

Strewth ... it was a beautiful place and many fair maidens and Knights were already there consuming vast amounts of the locally brewed ale

But alas it appeared that the King was on a mighty quest assisting some of his noble flock in some far flung corner of his Kingdom :(

I received a personal greeting from the King some days later however saying that upon my return he would be there to give me a special audience :clap :clap :clap

Sorry I missed you Sire, I will try and give you more notice next time :thumb

Cheers, johnny :beerjug:
