Thanks for the replies, it was a really enjoyable trip and a great way to use up our last holidays for 2010.
The shaded parts of Applecross Peninsular were very 'interesting' most of the others were ok with the odd bit of slippery shiny tarmac.
The pods in Applecross are spacious have good lighting, sleeping mats are included and they are also heated. The Langdale pods are carpeted but don't have mats, aren't heated or lit and to be honest my tent is warmer but they were handy for our needs this time.
Both are bookable Applecross here and Langdale here.
Oh and anybody that fancies a bit of winter camping is welcome to join us at Langdale Campsite on Boxing Night. We'll arrive on Boxing Day and camp for that night and the following night. I'll post a reminder nearer the time and this isn't an organised do
