A serious case of GS screen turbulence ...

I bought a windshield extension from Amazon for £29. That and my wunderlich tall screen is fine.

For completely turbulent and noise free travel……I take the car :thumb2

I have Wunderlich screen and MRA spoiler. That combination works 100% for me. Before that, I've spent a loads of cash on various screens and spoilers. Some were better then others but none solved the buffeting. My head would shake so much on higher speeds that I had to slow down.

I’ve never ridden anything else but a standard screen and the problem is I don’t know if it’s good or not.

I’m 5’8 and got a low seat and can ride with my visor up and there’s quite a breeze on my face. I’m not sure I’d be as comfortable if I didn’t have glasses on protecting my eyes from the breeze. There doesn’t appear to be any buffering to the helmet itself.

Does a ‘proper’ combination of screen get rid of that breeze and gets you calm air or have I got it as good as I’ll get. I don’t want to spend money with no improvement.

If you had buffeting, you'd know it, trust me. Your head starts to shake and by increasing the speed, it shakes more violently, up to the point you get blurry vision, then "white" vision and you don't see the road anymore. That is real and dangerous buffeting. I'm 6.2 and I have experienced this problem on most of the touring and adventure bikes I owned. On some of them I wasn't able to find a solution so I had to sold them.
So, the buffeting is something very bad and depending on its intensity, it can be very dangerous.
