A show of hands please?!!!

This sort of thing turns up a lot on owner forums,go to a buell forum and they'll all be missing there old tube framers and bitchin about fuel framer reliability,go harley and its 88'' against 96'' motors, one thing always the same though after a few years when the new model price falls cheap enough all the doubters love them 'cause they can have them.Buy new and if you don't get on with it trade down, personaly I don't like the look of the old tin tank models

I think if I get the chance soon, I'm gonna see if I can borrow a 1200 Adv demonstrator for at least a couple of hours, and see if it can win me over. If not, it'll definately be the 1150 GSA. Not many of them around at the moment though, with lower than average miles and lots of extras of course!!! :comfort

I've never ridden the 800, 100, 1100 or 1150. I own a 1200 and am very happy with it. I find that by blocking out the white noise of the 8, 10, 11, 11.5 owners who claim their agricultural behemoths are better, and just getting on with riding it, it's a fine machine.

Done deal

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your constructive criticism and knowledgeable thoughts over the last week! I've gone with my gut feeling on this one, found a very very tasty GSA1150 at the Robin-Hood Harley Davidson dealer in Nottingham, with full BMW Luggage, Ohlins front and rear suspension, 8000 miles on the clock, with alarm, tracker, and lots of other goodies for just £5799. Picking up today, and feeling happy about that choice too! I enjoyed owning the standard GS a couple of years ago, but always wanted the GSA, so this is great for me personally.

I reckon..... I saw what he'd bought- the bars were 2 feet above the fuel tank....mmm, that will be nice after 30 mins in the saddle!

Had a cracking ride home today after picking the GSA up- took a while to get used to the way it falls into corners with a full tank, but absolutely loved it! Definately the right choice.

:beerjug:

I know it's all about personal choice etc etc., but I can't fathom why someone would go from a GSA to a Harley.

It's on an 02 plate, did 200 miles yesterday with a huge grin on my face. Also has K + N air filter which is nice. It's also a lot smoother than my old 1150GS was, so I reckon it's been pretty well looked after. :bounce1
