Where's the best place to fit the tax disc? Mine was on the left side of the pillion seat but with the luggage attatched it's concealed. Unless I'm having a particularly dense day I can't see anywhere obvious to mount it..

I've laminated the tax disc then cable tied it to the left hand fork leg

If they want to nick it they need to have a Stanley Knife with them and if they've got a knife then they can have the disc as far as I'm concerned :augie

Get one of these:-

and stick up on the windscreen :thumb

Get a nice holder and bolt it behind the left hand cylinder head ...its tucked out of the way there but still visible ;)

We don't have road tax in France, but we have to display a little green certificate of insurance. Mine is stuck on the inside of my left handguard under a clear polythene stickie.

Thanks for the advice. Ended up fixing it behind the left hand cylinder facing the footpeg which seems fine.

My tax disc is kept securely, and safely in my wallet. My wallet is ALWAYS with me, so the tax disc is always on the bike when I'm riding it. As the police (and "traffic wardens") can check to see if you're taxed by radio, I see no need to display it.

I've had a tax disc nicked before, so I'm not having it happen again.

If you wanted to disdplay it, then you could use one of THESE although I'd be tempted to stick it under the seat.

I've NEVER had any problem with the police for non display (yes, I know it's an offence), as they know why we keep them in our wallets.

There just isn't anywhere that either doesn't look shite, or gets covered in water and shite.....
