A special

Proof if proof were needed that manufacturers are best at building M/Cs :D

That looks horrible.

I have to ask as I rescued my mate from this a few weeks ago

He'd changed rims and managed to get the disc on the wrong side and then due to that, insert the wheel back to front!

Anyway Is that tyre not on the wrong way ?? Or the wheel in back to front?

Looks the right way round to me. I think the tread faces forward in an arrow so as the wheel rotates the water is forced outwards. I may be wrong but I'm sure that's the way it works.

If the tyre was on a mountain bike it would be the correct way round. Fitted to a motorcycle you might indeed be right too. 'Fitted the wrong way round'. But being a motorcycle it could be fitted the correct way round. All depends on the makers recommendation as marked on the side wall. :nenau

Sssh! You'll spoil Neils sales pitch :D

My post sounds harsher than I meant it to be. I like scrambler and cafe racer specials but struggle with stuff that has been neglected and passed off as patina.............

As I found out sometimes under all the shit and bodges you might find a diamond:thumb2

Look at the R100GS behind "Most" bike tyres have that design the other way around

Imagine a V with the outer legs at the outside and the middle bit of the tyre The V points back toward the bike this design is apparently to throw water away from the contact area when the bike is leaned over

Only one who can say for sure is Neil or the owner ?? Looks like a Pirelli name in one of the other pics

Appears to be some good engineering and some rough which I suspect was done by different owners with different requirements.

Swinging arm looks solid and as if the 'extra' leg may actually do something. Interesting that there appears to be no apparent frame bracing.

This bike was built by Wudo. It was one of their own factory extra specials which they P/X'd to Mark Grinnall for one of his K powered Grinnall three wheelers... :D
