A Spin away from The Ports.

Took the 'Babe' for a leisurely spin up round the plateau and to get away from the 'Ports.

Any ideas.........

Good idea to get away from the mayhem around the Triangle

First pic Craigs Dolmen near Rasharkin? Not actually a dolmen at all, in fact the entrance to a Neolithic passage tomb. As is the other one on the other side of the road in pic 2

Spot on Arthur, however pic two is about 4 miles as the crow flys eastwards.

Magic wee roads up round there. Have done a fair bit on enduro bike up there. I am referring to pic 3,4and 5.

**EDIT 05 Sept. - was passing the site today, and found the lane to the site securely padlocked with a stern notice posted forbidding entrance.

Thanks for posting, those 2 are added to my list, seems the capstone was added in the 19th century and this is a court tomb, maybe im wrong

The capstone was hit by lightning in 1976 and busted, but later repaired. Wiki also agrees that it's a passage tomb.

Craigs Dolmen is maintained by the Northern Ireland Environment Agency. It is on private land and cannot (should not?) be visited without the landowner’s permission.
