thing happened today,

The bike (1150gs) started fine and ran ok, after a couple of miles I got on the A40 and started to wind it on pulling from 60 to 70 mph the big sounded like a bag of nails and would not rev. I pulled in the clutch gave it a big handfull and every thing was back to normal and running sweet.

any ideas? could it just been some shit in an injector?

Hi Keith. Is your GS a twin spark, if it is I had the same problem on my 03 bike. Check the wire from the lower spark plug on the right hand cyl, it runs alongside the wire from the oxy sensor(lambda probe). Under certain conditions such as full load the current running through the plug lead can spike the sensor wire and confuse the ECM (engine control modual) this causes the engine to pack in and just idle. Turn off wait a few seconds restart and alls well, revs and power ok till the next full throttle. Try to seperate the wires as much as poss. Failing that contact your dealer I think they fit modified leads that run a different route. Speak to Mike at BlueBell BMW he sorted mine.
