a tale of woe
Recently when tank was lifted to do a job,as a favour to me the male fitting on the fuel thingy sheared off. I didnt realise this till it wouldnt start, not being technical was stumped anyway thanks to breakdown AXA nice man came this morning found the problem ( he happened to be a BMW engineer in past at rainbow in sheffield ) anyway rang services at chester branch he explained to them asked if had part NO and very busy ( he was shocked at their manner to say least, stage 2 we rang williams in manchester no stock very busy. goodbye he was even more shocked at the appearent lack of help.
anyway Roy to the rescue. phoned him in croston explained he said hadnt got part but would sort it so i could do the trip this weekend( organsided ages ago) nice axa man ran me up there with bike top service , roy did his magic said ordered part for me chat cup of tea and on bike on way home. now that is what I call service. :thumb2

you got it rgm
even though the chester one is only 8 miles away

yip ,:thumb i've found Roy to be a top guy... he always gets my bike sevrice work..

but the big shops such as williams etc get the new comers to BMW and suck them in until we find people like ROY to do much better jobs

Was thinking about telling ROY to get some stickers made say , bike sevrice at RGM;)

Yep my bike goes to RGM too even though its a long way and I have to take the day off work too. :thumb2

Never trust anyone with my bikes however to keep the warranty i have bowed down and have to let bmw put their hands on it. who is Rgm and where is it please, word of mouth goes a very long way in my book.
thanks in advance
paul

You can do your own servicing and keep your warranty.

not to say the chester one isnt anygood I am sure they are spot on,:) just obviously too busy or not enough technicians, its the way the front of house dealt with me not even "give me a minute and I will ask" as pepole will see it was also the same with manchester so not isolated to one dealership. I can only relate what happened to me . have spent the last two days on the bike It great wind in hair, well visor. and airflow jacket on for firat time not the rukka hot hot hot one :D

Chester Motorad is a few minutes from my house but I still take my GS to Roy.

My last 2 MOTs & services have been stamped up by him & he's recently replaced my cracked rear disc carrier.

I wouldn't bother going anywhere else tbh.

I'm even happy to advertise him on my DRZ.

RGM - thumbs up

Another shout here for Roy Gardner m/cs. Always a courteous, knowledgeable reception. He's able to stamp the book for you and carries out his work as you'd like to be able to do it yourself :clap

When I have called you initially get the HD staff who try to put you through . But as there are only the two guys in the small BMW 'section' at the moment, because the BMW dealership doesn't really exist yet, you are probably going to get a slightly inferior level of service than might be ideal for now .

Hopefully they will be able to do a lot better when they have the full blown dealership in place and a full team. :thumb

Well lets hope it gets better:)

with young Rudiemoto there in the back ground i feel that the place will do well , because he as always help me out and gone realy out of his way loads of times to help me out..
so time will tell with the place,,,because i do not like southport BMw dealship
lets hope chesters(west cheshire) one gets more customer focused;)

No they wont fella as Rudie has left.
hope he sets up something on his own, good idea eh Rudie :thumb

From my recent dealings with them I really think Paul and the guys already are Terry. But with the limitations of the current building they are not really able to provide the level of service one might expect . Only once thats sorted and they are full staffed will we be able to compare to other franchises.

Anybody know when that might be . Rudie ? :nenau
