This has happened on a few occasions quite randomly lasted for maybe 30 minutes and then stopped - it isn't stopped by turning ignition off and on again.
A range of warning messages - ABS / Traction control / suspension strut / emergency call, cycle around and the speedo numbers go around like a fruit machine.
When this is happening the cruise control, menu, switch, abs and suspension switch can't be operated. It doesn't effect the bike in any other way.

Is it possible that it's an earthing issue - or when I realised the switches didn't work wondered if it could be a problem with the switch rather than connected with the TFT - anyone have any thoughts / experienced this sort of thing?

Pretty sure its a sign of a failing battery

there was a batch of units with duff cells

May be covered under a dealer goodwill call
Have a Lithium one in there now - also it's happening when the alternator would be charging the battery - do you think it could still be a battery fault - the voltage in the battery when engine off seems OK

It's the lithium ones that were problematic if I recall
