A Weekend of GS Trail Riding 9th & 10th June 2007

Stow re-run

I would like to be in on this if you have not been inundated already. I am in Norwich but shoul dbe able to get across on th eSat morning or night before. I have a paralever R100GS and want to try something more off road; is this suitable for a first timer (I've done long distance travel (through Africa, so mostly tar, gravel and a bit of mud, all 2 up plus overloaded with usual stuff) but not much on paths, mud tracks etc)? I will be sticking with my dual purpose Macadams?

I'd imagine you'd be fine - might need to go a little more carefully if the tracks are damp, but then so will I need to :)

Bring whoever you like :)

I'll be asking for "final" camping numbers in a couple of weeks, so I can advise the camp site owner.

Would love to do this but unfortunatly working both saturday and sunday :(

Hi. We live In Melksham which is only 8 miles from the campsite, when is the latest you need to know for booking?
Thanks
Jill & Val

Then on the way home, a further recce of the start of the "link" somewhere South of Hungerford

The actual Byway (to the left of the photo) is fairly rutted so I was following the new bit :)

Where I had been

Nice bit of Countryside though

<div style="width:1024px;text-align:right;"><a href="http://beta.zooomr.com/photos/Clive/1089096/" title="Zooomr Photo Sharing :: Photo Sharing"><img src="http://static.zooomr.com/images/1089096_61a765ad27_b.jpg" width="1024" height="768" alt="SU 30843 61084c" border="0" style="border:1px solid #000;" /></a><span style="float:left;">SU 30843 61084c</span> Hosted on <strong>Zooom<span style="color:#9EAE15;">r</span></strong></div>

The next section of Byway was a bit of a mare, but doable - might not be on Tourances if as wet as today though :nenau

As you know I live close by. Is this run for GS's only or can I sneek along on a more rugged , bounce betterbike? I only have Distansas on the GS but Knobbers on the Yam.

Erm, it is meant for GSs (or big trailies at least) and to make it even more difficult than normal, they will be fully loaded up with camping gear. Might be a bit tame for an unloaded pogo :nenau

HWMBO has given the thumbs up - count me in! :thumb

Btw, Nin and TRF Simon are one and the same person... :D
