A word to the unwise please? Seats again!

We are not all blessed with the same size/shaped arse which inevitably means that no one seat fits all. With that in mind, one mans memory foam arse pillow is anothers red hot poker up the jacksy! The only way to find what works for you is to try them all for a REALLY long ride. That will work out very expensive and unless you are lucky enough to have many GS riding mates, all with different seats and all willing to allow you to borrow them then it's all a bit hit or miss.

I recently did 3,000 miles around France in 2 weeks and my previously ultra comfy Sargent began to hurt, really hurt. But I know that the original seat was worse so I just live with it. I have come to the conclusion that my arse is not made for 10 hour days in the saddle and I will not be entering any Iron Butt rallies!

Good luck with your search.:aidan

Airhawk with the sergeant seat for long distance

GSA 2008. Had the standard seat re-shaped for £50 by an upholsterer who had a Corbin seat to copy.
Seat seems sooooo much better now although I havent done a continuous big day on it yet.
Off to the Picos in two weeks, might find out then!
